Donovan Mitchell might be humble and have loyalty inside his DNA, but he’s also worked out with Chris Paul. Yeah. The guy is a basketball sponge. Check it.

This is from when Mitchell was at CP3’s camp. This is probably the aforementioned camp that they whispered in his ear that he was an NBA caliber player.

It’s the 25th anniversary of the Dream Team. When I was a young kid, this was a huge deal. This was a dream scenario. John Stockton apparently felt similarly.

25 years ago today, the Dream Team took home gold. For those who played, it was unforgettable.

NBA.com had their Midsummer Power Rankings come out. The Utah Jazz were ranked #14.

The Jazz have terrific depth and will surely have a top-three defense again. But they may never score 100 points this season, because they play slow and seemingly have no go-to guy beyond Joe Johnson for a few minutes a night. Their two highest usage rates in the clutch last season belonged to Hayward and Hill, and no one left on the roster ranked in the top 75 in unassisted buckets. They need two guys on the last year of their rookie deals to step up. Rodney Hood needs to get more aggressive to put some pressure on opposing defenses as the primary scorer, and Dante Exum (now two years past his torn ACL) just needs to give them something offensively.

Can’t argue with that placement right now. The Utah Jazz are probably the best defensive team in the NBA right now, but their offense could rank toward the worst. If the Utah Jazz’s offensive rating is anywhere near the middle of the pack next season, then Quin Snyder has a Coach of the Year award and the Utah Jazz have tapped into the power of Ricky Rubio.

A new trailer dropped for NBA2K18 and we got our first look at Rudy Gobert in it. While he didn’t get the full Gordon Hayward treatment, he’s looking good. Though ... he looks a little bit like a velociraptor.

His head looks way too big for his body and his arms are very long. Then again ... he does have very long arms.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate Carmelo Anthony’s “OMG” face in this picture.

As I said earlier, it’s the 25th anniversary of the Dream Team. The Utah Jazz had not one but two different representatives on it. Quite the impressive accomplishment. Another impressive accomplishment? Karl Malone’s biceps covering all of David Robinson and Charles Barkley.
