Ranking the 2017-2018 Utah Jazz Roster: 13th goes to Raul Neto

This wasn’t the right poll for the good-looking Brazilian.

CORRECTION: Ok first and foremost, I’m not a mathematician. Tony Bradley was actually 14th, not 13th. I got confused when I switched from starting at the bottom to numbering them from the top. It was a foolish mistake and you don’t have to forgive me... Please forgive me?

Had this been a ranking of the best looking player on the Utah Jazz roster, we definitely would have seen a different result. Alas, we are ranking the overall value of each player, so instead Raul Neto came in 12th in what was a pretty tight poll.

In his second season Neto didn’t get a ton of time on the court. That tends to happen when you’re the 3rd string point guard. Nonetheless, he did play some crucial minutes in the playoffs and provided a spark when the Jazz offense was struggling.

Neto’s current contract is non-guaranteed, so his roster spot may be at risk. Personally, I think he adds enough to warrant a spot going forward. He's a solid passer and a scrappy defender. Let’s also not forget where he may have his most value: his relationship with Rudy Gobert.

I could see the young guard turning into a solid backup point guard. For now, he’ll have to continue earning his minutes with the depth on the Jazz roster.
