Ranking the 2017-2018 Utah Jazz Roster: Ekpe Udoh is the 12th man

How will Ekpe Udoh transition from the Turkish league to the NBA?

The results are in. And it was tight all the way. Ekpe Udoh slides into being the 12th most valuable player on the Utah Jazz Roster.

Udoh spent the last couple years playing in the Euroleague for Fenerbahce, arguably the 2nd best league in the world, where he had enough success to deem an NBA return. In 32 minutes last year, he averaged 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. He anchored the defense all the way to a Euroleague Championship and Final Four MVP.

Hopefully he lives up the reputation as being one of the best defenders that wasn’t playing in the NBA. I can’t wait to see the look of relief on opposing players’ faces when Rudy heads to the bench... only to realize the Udoh can send your shots back as well.

His contract is also very team friendly, at 2 years 6.5 million. The 2nd year is fully non-guaranteed. How might Quin Snyder utilize one of his newcomers?
