Another vote and another newcomer. This time it was Jonas Jerebko that got the most votes, slotting him in as the 11th most valuable player on the Utah Jazz roster.
So far in his career, Jerebko has been a good hustle man and decent stretch 4. The Swedish player had previous stints with the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics. His role was lessened with the Celtics, despite his good shooting and better than expected defense.
Jerebko was signed this offseason to a pretty risk free 2 year 8.2 million dollar contract. That second year is non-guaranteed as well. Honestly, I could see him playing his way into Quin Snyder’s rotation if things go right for him. He’s actually already garnered some praise for his communication on defense through camp thus far, and 35% or better from 3, especially from a big man, doesn’t hurt either.
He may also end up just being the 11th man, which is pretty great depth heading into next season.
