The time has finally arrived. After a week of rumors that the Utah Jazz could trade for the stretch power forward, it's put up or shut up time. With the calendar landing on January 15th, the Bulls' forward is now able to be had via trade. The Jazz have been an the epicenter of any Nikola Mirotic trade rumor.
Basketball Insiders was reporting that the Utah Jazz front office and coaching seem to be on different pages when it comes to the direction the team should take for this season.
The Utah Jazz has been linked to Chicago big man Nikola Mirotic in a trade that seems more likely than not. The Bulls are said to be seeking a first-round draft pick, something the Jazz seem reluctant to move.
League sources said things in Utah were starting to get contentious and that management and the coaching staff may not be on the same page with the direction of the roster and that change seems necessary.
The Jazz seem to be trying to move Derrick Favors and Joe Johnson, although the market for both may be tied to their ending contracts not necessarily their upside as players.
Whatever the outcome is ... buckle up. The rumor mill is now officially open and if the Utah Jazz are going to make a #playoffpush type move for Nikola Mirotic, it's going to probably happen in the next few days so they can get as many games in as possible with an improved roster to get into the playoff hunt.
