And there couldn’t have been a better time for it

After an incredible 30 point win against the Golden State Warriors last night, the Utah Jazz are now only 3.5 games out of the playoffs.

The Clippers just lost Blake Griffin and the Nuggets are now entering the hardest stretch of their season. Four of their next six games are against the Thunder, Warriors, Rockets and Spurs. Oh, and Dante Exum is returning soon.

Could the Jazz still make they playoffs?

The Utah Jazz could not have had a better debut of their new uniforms. They looked amazing last night. Watching on TV they jumped off the screen more than I expected and really had a fire look to them. It seems reasonable to expect the Jazz to wear them until they make the playoffs. They might have imbued the players with better shooting ability like some sort of magical armor.

The Utah Jazz have the best defense in the league since Rudy Gobert’s return.

Any questions on whether Rudy Gobert is a cornerstone piece anymore? Rudy dominates the game in so many ways and, paired with Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz have two exciting stars to build around.

Steve Kerr gave some high praise for the Jazz’s young stars.

If there’s one thing this team has, it’s swagger. And it might be enough to put them over the top and get them into the playoffs.

Finally, a reminder that the NBA didn’t want this guy in the dunk contest.
