The Utah Jazz will be without power forward Derrick Favors tonight as they take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight. The long-time Jazzman will be out with left knee soreness reports Eric Walden of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Derrick Favors is OUT of tonight’s game in Dallas with left knee soreness.

Derrick Favors has been averaging 10 points and 7 rebounds a game for the Utah Jazz. This most certainly will mean that Jae Crowder will start in place of the injured Favors. While this may seem like it opens more minutes for Crowder—it does—it also means a lot more minutes for Ekpe Udoh. Normally Derrick Favors plays a lot of his minutes at center—51% of them, to be exact—which means Ekpe Udoh will be the Jazz’s main backup big for Rudy Gobert. Luckily for Utah, Georges Niang has been playing great basketball in limited minutes and they get Thabo Sefolosha back from suspension.
The good news for Utah is their best lineups feature Jae Crowder at the four and either Rudy Gobert or Derrick Favors at Center. They boast a 30 or higher Net Rating on the floor.
