The Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell will be held out of tomorrow’s Memphis tilt as he has been diagnosed with right hamstring tightness. The sophomore guard was unable to finish last night’s game due to the injury. The Utah Jazz had an MRI done to err on the side of caution—tests came back negative.
Jazz ran an MRI on Donovan Mitchell’s hamstring, MRI was negative but he was diagnosed with right hamstring tightness. He will be out for Friday’s game against Memphis, though.

Donovan Mitchell had started the season slow, but had been on a tear the last four games. His absence against the Timberwolves very well could have been the difference between a Jazz win and a Jazz loss as Derrick Rose simply couldn’t miss.
The hope with Donovan is he’s able to return to the court quickly as filling the scoring void will be a difficult task. Dante Exum, Royce O’Neale, and Grayson Allen will have their work cut out for them as Donovan Mitchell joins fellow shooting guard Alec Burks on the injury report. Donovan Mitchell only missed a total of three games during his rookie season.
