Utah Jazz Rank: Donovan Mitchell voted as 2nd most valuable

The 2nd year player is hoping for a big 2nd year leap

NBA: Utah Jazz-Media Day Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Donovan Mitchell got off to a quick start in his Utah Jazz career, landing himself as the runner up in the Rookie of the Year voting. He also finds himself as the runner up in the rankings of the Utah Jazz roster.

Spida has a huge rookie year, averaging 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and broke the NBA record for most 3’s by a rookie with 287. He continually adapted to defenses as the focal point of Quin Snyder’s offense, often drawing comparisons to Heat legend Dwyane Wade. He had an historic season for a first year player, and looks to build off that going into his 2nd year.

He continues to amaze me with his highlight plays. You’d think I would be used to it by now, but he keeps finding ways to surprise me. I also can’t get used to how much attention he gets around the league and around the nation. Let’s hope he uses his rookie year as a foundation for a hall of fame career for the Jazz!

One round of voting left in this year’s #JazzRank!
