Whoops! Dick’s Sporting Goods might have ruined the debut of the Utah Jazz’s new jersey. A sharp eyed Jazz fan was patronizing the store only to find a new Nike green jersey on the sales floor. He went to purchase it only to find out that it was not supposed to be on the floor. He was denied purchase, but that didn’t stop him from bringing an early Christmas present to the masses.
@UniWatch just tried to purchase this @utahjazz jersey at Dicks. They wouldn’t let me get it and they just pulled them from the floor. I’m guessing this is the “earned” jersey..? pic.twitter.com/I113ae2u8v

Utah has yet to confirm that these are their new jerseys, but one would assume Utah is going to be officially debuting these jerseys online in the next few days as Christmas is drawing near. I’m sure the Jazz would like to cash in on the Christmas bedlam that will occur with these beauties.
Many have lamented that the Utah Jazz ditched their green threads for the gold uniform, but it appears those clamoring for a return to green will be happy. While I’m disappointed that they didn’t use a green variant of the City Uniform—GIVE ME GREEN GRADIENT—seeing the Jazz’s green back on the court is a welcome sight. The Utah Jazz have a solid rotation of uniforms right now with their Purple throwbacks, the “City” Uniforms, the gold “Statement” threads, and now the green “Earned” jerseys.
The Utah Jazz will first wear these uniforms on Christmas Day when they match up against the Portland Trail Blazers. It’s going to be a festive matchup if Portland is wearing a red “Earned” uniform. Let’s hope so.
