It’s happening everybody. Dante once again lives.
Dante Exum has been assigned to the SLC Stars. Rehab assignment to get ready to play for the Jazz.

Andy Larsen later pointed out in a tweet that the Stars don’t play until Saturday, so this is likely a way for Exum to get some full contact practice as a final step in rehab before returning to play full contact in the NBA. Per the Jazz PR twitter account:

This fits in to Tony Jones’ rumor that Dante could return to full action later this week, and Dante couldn’t come back at a better time. With Raul Neto sustaining a wrist injury and out for a few weeks, we need somebody to come in and take some of the load off our starters.
It will be interesting to see how Dante fits in when he returns. Putting a 6’6” guard next to Donovan Mitchell can only bring good things on the defensive end. The potential for that pairing is off the charts. Will we see glimpses of that coming to fruition this season? Only time will tell.
As for now, it’s exciting just to have Dante back.
