The Golden State Warriors were missing Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and the Utah Jazz put them away, like they should have.
It was close in the first quarter with some surprisingly stout defense from the Warriors, but the Jazz eventually figured things out and pulled away. With a major boost from Dante Exum and Jae Crowder, the Jazz took the lead with their second unit and never let it go.
Donovan Mitchell had another ho hum night of 21 points and 6 assists. His ability to attack the defense while also finding teammates for open shots is getting better and better. When he finds more consistency with his pull up three point shot, he becomes an absolute superstar. Combine that with his ability to get steals and pass the ball and the Jazz have a truly generational talent.
This game also marked the premier of David Stockton. Hearing Craig Bolerjack call his name was special and seeing him run up the court, with the same gait as his dad, made it a night to remember for Jazz fans.
