Utah Jazz Rank: Georges Niang voted 14th most valuable on the roster

The stretch big showed a lot of promise over the summer

Drawing 60% of round 4 voting, Georges Niang has been ranked as the 14th most valuable player on the Utah Jazz roster. Still (fairly) fresh off signing a Royce O’Neale-esque contract with the Jazz, Niang would love to build off his summer momentum.

Georges only logged 32 minutes for Utah this season, but he played some great minutes for the Stars throughout the year. In his 15 games there, he averaged 22 points 6.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. His most impressive number, however, has to be shooting 52.7% from 3 on nearly 5 attempts a game! What out Joe Ingles, someone might be coming for your 3pt percentage crown!

Niang also showed some nice playmaking skills during summer league this year, something Quin Snyder loves to have out of the power forward position.

From what I saw over the summer, I think Niang could carve out a few more minutes this next season. I think his emergence is what led Utah’s management to release Jonas Jerebko. I’m excited to see how he can further develop with more time in Salt Lake with Snyder and his incredible coaching staff.

For now Georges is 14th, but where might he end the season?
