Utah Jazz Rank: Raul Neto voted as the 13th most valuable player

Had this been a ranking of looks, certainly the outcome would have been different.

NBA: Utah Jazz-Media Day Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

After the tightest round of voting so far in this year’s #JazzRank Raul Neto has been voted the 13th most valuable player on the roster. There were 6 different players with 10+% of the vote! Unfortunately this wasn’t a vote based on looks, otherwise he would have come in much higher.

Neto just signed a new contract with the Utah Jazz over the summer, and he’s headed into his 4th year in the league. He’s had some ups and downs throughout his career so far, especially in regards to health. On a Per36 basis last year, he had his best year yet with averages of 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. He also shot an impressive 40.2% from 3.

The Brazilian point guard didn’t log a ton of minutes last year, but he did provide some important help off the bench when called upon. You aren’t going to find any better for your 3rd string point guard, and considering his friendship with Rudy Gobert I am glad he’s back in Jazz uniform.

This is where things will get really interesting! Be sure to cast your vote in time for the 12th man on the roster.
