For the first time in months Jazz fans got the chance to see their team perform again at Vivint Smart Home arena. Tonight it was for the Utah Jazz Meet the Team Event.
To start things off, Jazz fans were introduced to the 2018 roster. It was fun to see the Jazz players have fun with it.

Jazz fans were also treated to see Rudy Gobert be presented his Defensive Player of the Year trophy and a check that will go to the Rudy’s Kids foundation.

Promptly after receiving his trophy, Rudy brought back the tradition of having the rookies dance.
It was as uncomfortable, and funny, as it always is.
These events always produce fun, unexpected moments. Probably the cutest was seeing Derrick Favors’ little girl going through stretches with the team.
Sooooo @dfavors14 daughter is the cutest thing ever!! @utahjazz pic.twitter.com/soxaorNlIK

@dfavors14 daughter stretching with him in warmups was a real highlight of the night. Our whole family thought it was adorable. pic.twitter.com/9tZu4eo8vm

Finally, there was the three point contest and it didn’t disappoint. The Jazz had the players pair up with a “wing” and a “big.” Naz Mitrou-Long and Georges Niang won. Niang is such a lights out shooter, it was a big advantage to have him as a “big.” But that’s interesting in and of itself because the Jazz obviously think of Niang as a big.
During the three point contest there were some other surprising performances that stuck out.
Rudy Gobert was decent tonight at hitting threes! The biggest shot was a buzzer beating corner three to beat Tony Bradley.

Dante Exum had the best shooting performance of the night when he faced off against Ricky Rubio (who had the second best performance of the night.)

Dante Exum and Ricky Rubio putting on a show at the 3-point contest! Exum ends with a score of 14 of 18 possible, Rubio hits 13. Both are the highest scores of the contest so far.

If this is any indication of things to come, the season is looking very bright!
