Consider this a mini-Derrick Favors appreciation post.
Jazz fans knew that it was going to be strange and difficult seeing Derrick Favors in a different jersey, and we got the first taste of that last night. Before the game, Favors caught up with Jazz reporters and answered some questions about his feelings towards the Utah Jazz. Warning: get some tissues.
Derrick Favors on Utah: "I still love Utah, I miss being out there. Sometimes, you have to move on and try new things."

Favors on who he misses most from Utah: "I miss everybody. I've been around everyone so much. I miss Joe. I definitely miss Joe. I miss all the guys: Rudy, Donovan, Royce, George, all those guys."

Favors on his favorite on-court memory in Utah: "Winning Game 6 against OKC. That was when the team just came together, we fought hard. It was a crazy environment, and we stuck together. We were picked to lose that series."

Reading these words from Derrick Favors, it’s hard not to fall in love with him all over again. Just like always, Derrick is the best person ever. This was just two days after he showed off his new D.O.N. Issue #1’s that Donovan Mitchell had provided for him.
Pelicans big man Derrick Favors also broke out his former Utah Jazz teammate Donovan Mitchell’s Adidas signature sneakers for tonight’s action in Chicago. Favors calls the Iron Spider edition his favorite colorway. pic.twitter.com/RYR3QGY3DE

After the game last night, Favors caught up with old homies in Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles, and these hugs are everything.

Favors talked postgame with Kristen Kenney and opened up about how strange it was playing against his old team. He also talked about Donovan’s shoes, missing Joe Ingles the most, and how much he’s looking forward to coming back to SLC in November.

We can’t wait either, Faves.
