Utah Jazz to rest Mitchell, Conley, and Gobert against Adelaide 36ers

The Bo-Joe Show is a go, though.

NBA: Utah Jazz-Media Day Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The debut of Utah’s full lineup will have to wait for another day. Quin Snyder appears to be taking no chances when it comes to a preseason game against the NBL’s Adelaide 36ers. Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, and Rudy Gobert will be held out of tonight’s contest to rest. Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have had a very busy summer that has included the FIBA World Cup. Mike Conley on the other hand is Utah’s prized trade piece from this offseason and the Jazz are playing the long game here by resting him in preseason.

Joe Ingles—who also spent a good amount of time at FIBA World Cup as well—is still anticipated to play tonight. The opportunity of playing against an Australian team is just too much to pass up, and even Quin Snyder mentioned that he didn’t want to ask Joe to sit this one out. Fellow Australian Dante Exum is out due to rehab and is being brought along slowly in preseason.

While we will not see Conley, Mitchell, and Gobert play tonight, we will get to see Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic. So at least we’ll get to see the Bo-Joe Show in action. We will still get to have a preview of how Quin Snyder plans to work the four spot with Jeff Green, Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles and Royce O’Neale. We also will get to see how Ingles works with a lot of the projected bench unit and how Mudiay has begun to adapt to his new Utah surroundings.
