Utah Jazz face the Oklahoma City Thunder at home

Can they keep last game’s momentum going?

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Jazz take on the OKC Thunder. The Jazz are looking to extend their win streak from one game to two games. Chris Paul and the OKC Thunder will make it a difficult task. Overall the Thunder have a poposterious lead in the all-time series with a 31-13 lead. This season however, they have played only one game against each other early in the season. The Jazz beat the Thunder 100-95. Remember when the Jazz held their opponents to under 100 points. Good times, good times.

Mike Conley will be out once again for the Jazz. The Jazz have gone 1-1 without him. Tonight should be a bigger struggle without Conley, as Chris Paul is one of the craftiest, smartest players in the league. It would have been nice for Conley and his veteran knowledge going up against Paul.

What to watch for

Will the Jazz continue to take good shots?

The Jazz are making 38.5% of their three pointers, that is good for 4th in the league. We need for the Jazz to take most of their shots from the three point line and at the rim. Please Jazz for all that is good, do not take so many floaters! It’s been contagious, the Jazz love their floaters. In their last game against the Grizzlies, the Jazz shot just five mid-range shots in the first half. The second half wasn’t quite as good but still such an improvement compared during our losing streak.

From Ben Dowsett:

Per @cleantheglass, tonight is the 2nd-lowest % of midrange shots the Jazz have attempted in any game this year. Not a coincidence the offense did so well.

Keep up the good work Jazz.

Game Thread Ground Rules

Welcome to the SLC Dunk Game Thread.

Dunkers know how this thing works, but for you lurkers ready to make the jump to Dunker, we have a few guidelines. Remember to follow our community guidelines (no swearing, trolling, excessive use of Jerry Sloan’s name in vain, no personal attacks, no debates about Utah liquor laws, etc.). Remember to have fun. Anyone who dare blasphemes that Tim Duncan was a Power Forward (this means you, Pounding the Rock), Ben Simmons can hit threes, Gordon Hayward should not be booed, Exum Island isn’t a 5-Star resort, Donovan Mitchell is Monta Ellis 2.0, men should never cry, or John Stockton is not the best point guard of all-time will receive an automatic ban. Just kidding. But seriously.
