Utah Jazz look to get back on track against the Chicago Bulls

Jazz have to avoid another spoiler loss

After a disappointing loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Utah Jazz will take on the Chicago Bulls in hopes to get one step closer to clinching a playoff spot.

The Jazz couldn’t find a way to close out the Hawks in Atlanta and, if they want to avoid that 8-seed and a first round bid against the Warriors, they can’t afford to drop any more games they are favored in.

The good news for the Jazz is they are facing a Bulls team who has no desire to win any more games this year. Tonight, the injury report for Chicago looks bleak with the majority of their best players out with varying injuries from serious to minor.

But you never know when that Robin Lopez 40-point explosion will come....

I’m sorry, I tried. If the Jazz lose to the Bulls tonight it will be their worst loss of the season.

What to watch for

How quickly can the Jazz take care of business?

There’s no reason the Jazz shouldn’t win this easily. The only minor issue may be them having dead legs from a road trip that’s starting to feel pretty long. The worst thing the Jazz can do is give a Bulls team hope in the first quarter. This is a game that can be won in the first quarter.

It also feels like the Jazz will sometimes have long stints of underwhelming shooting from three this season. If the threes aren’t falling, Utah will need to find ways to get easy buckets at the rim and get to the line.

Luckily, Donovan Mitchell is on a tear right now and with the Bulls best wing defender, Kris Dunn, not likely to play, he should have another big night.
