The Utah Jazz (44-30) look to keep the good times rolling against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. Winners in 7 of their last 8 games, the Jazz hope to keep the momentum going as we near the postseason.
Utah currently sits at 6th in the Western Conference and would like to move up in the standings if they can. Other important games around the NBA tonight:
- Blazers at Bulls. This will be Portland’s first game without Nurkic and CJ in the lineup.
- Warriors at Grizzlies. Will Memphis continue to influence the standings as a spoiler?
- Pacers at Thunder. Can OKC right the ship as they continue to slide down the stretch.
With a win, the Jazz move to 5th in the West. A Blazers loss would only put the Jazz 1.5 games back of home court advantage in the playoffs. Let’s hope they come out ready to play against the lowly Lakers (who would worry about them anyways?) and end this game early. Considering the injuries the Lakers are dealing with, a loss would be a major setback for the Jazz.
The game is on ESPN and playoff seeds are up for grabs. The good guys have plenty of motivation to come out swinging tonight.

What to watch for
Does Donovan Mitchell have another highlight dunk in against the Lakers? Mitchell has a lot of dunks in his young career so far, some of which have been very exciting. Two of his absolute best have been against the same team: the LA Lakers.
With this game on ESPN, I’m excited to see what type of performance Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert can put together to embarrass the Lakers. Watch out for another big dunk by SPIDA!!!!!
