Alright ... let’s do this reverse jinx right.
This is it, Jazz fans. There’s absolutely no way to win this game. If the Jazz can’t beat Houston with James Harden putting up an NBA record 0-15 shooting streak, there’s absolutely nothing that can be done. The Jazz will continue to generate the most wide open 3’s per game, and shoot the worst percentage, out of all playoff teams, with 18.8% on 21.4 attempts (u/kqwin). The Jazz definitely do not have any above-average shooters, with no one who’s set shooting records or hit many multiples of jump shots.
Never mind the fact that Kyle Korver’s “Never been around a young player like Donovan Mitchell”. Never mind that James Harden is the reigning MVP and one of the top-two finishers this year. Never mind that no team in history has come back from a 0-3 deficit. Because of all these things, the Jazz shouldn’t even try. There’s no free agents to try to acquire this off season, no point in trying to prove that building around Donovan and Rudy is worth anything at all. This game has no consequences and the Jazz should just go swiftly into the night.
