Donovan Mitchell and Tom Holland tease D.O.N. Issue #1 x Spider-man: Far From Home crossover

Donovan Mitchell sent the Utah Jazz and Marvel interwebs ablaze when he tweeted out a sneak peak today of Tom Holland sporting the new D.O.N. Issue #1 shoes today.

Donovan Mitchell is most likely sporting a Spider-Man suit if the second image of the Spider-Man meme is any indication. It’s also a big indication that his shoe could play very prominently in the new Spider-Man: Far From Home movie. The first Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland teased Miles Morales in that universe when his uncle appeared with Peter Parker in a scene.

Even if Donovan Mitchell doesn’t get to be Miles Morales, we could have the MCU version of this scene from Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

Beyond just this cool new social media bait for Donovan Mitchell’s new kicks, can we just enjoy the fact that the Utah Jazz have a player who is this famous already? This is an entirely different level when it comes to Jazz popularity. Donovan Mitchell is showing that you don’t have to be in a big market to secure that bag. That’s a good omen for the summer when the Utah Jazz will work to lure a free agent to Beehive State.

The D.O.N. Issue #1’s are scheduled to release on July 5, 2019—the same week as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to debut in theaters. The shoes will retail for $100. Here’s some pretty pictures of those shoes.
