Just a few days ago, Donovan Mitchell himself hinted at several new colorways dropping during this coming NBA season.
Hope your ready for the in season colorways

This was after Mitchell had teased his Instagram followers with a white and black colorway several times.
Monday afternoon, pictures of three new colorways of the D.O.N. Issue #1s surfaced, and they are all very different than the original three colorways already announced.

These images and information on the new colorways of Spida’s shoe first showed up on WearTesters.com, although it’s not stated in the article where these pictures actually came from.

The black and white version is confirmed as being the colorway that Mitchell has being teasing for a few weeks now. The neon yellow and red is referred to on this site as the “Engine 45” colorway, with no additional details.
And last but not least, the PURPLE MOUNTAIN SPIDA. Donovan Mitchell gave the people what they wanted. This colorway is by far my favorite of these new three, mostly due to pure nostalgia. Based on the Utah Jazz throwback jerseys from the 1990s, Adidas and Donovan Mitchell knocked this one out of the park, in my opinion.

No details on the release date of these colorways is available, but we know from Donovan’s earlier tweet referenced above that it is probably going to be “in-season”. Jazz fans haven’t even had time to catch their breath (or save their money) after the recent release of the first couple of colorways, and it looks like they will have something else to look forward to in the coming months.
Could this also hint at a purple mountain throwback jersey coming this season??
