It’s not even tongue and cheek now, Joe Ingles has been arguably the best player in the FIBA World Cup.

Averaging 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists, Ingles has been stellar in Australia’s quest for gold. Not only is Ingles putting up big numbers but he’s doing it against the world’s best and in the biggest of moments. His defense has been fantastic and his command of the offense puts everyone in the best spots. Whether he’s assisting, or scoring, Ingles’ presence on the floor is always massive.

At every important moment for Australia, Ingles, as well as his teammate Patty Mills, have come up huge for Australia.

Against the Czech Republic they can’t let up. Led by Tomas Satoransky, the Czech Republic may not seem like a threat but they’ve been able to come away with some surprising wins that have led them to this point. If Australia doesn’t keep up their high level of play, they stand the chance of being surprised.

What to watch for?

Joe Ingles and Patty Mills have been carving up opposing defenses night after night and they should do it against the Czech Republic.

The real question is can they stop Tomas Satoransky?

In his last two games he’s scored 13 points and 20 points. Is this the moment where Satoransky makes his mark and takes his game to the next level? The Chicago Bulls certainly hope so. If Australia wants to move on they’ll have to make sure he doesn’t have a big game.
