With Mike Conley leaving the bubble to be there for the birth of his child—CONGRATS CONLEY FAMILY—it was a mystery as to who would fill his role in the starting rotation. Many pointed to Miye Oni—while this Brant-osaurus fanboy wanted Jarrell Brantley—but Quin Snyder fooled us all by going with Juwan Morgan.

Morgan was instrumental in the Salt Lake City Stars success. His stout defense, playmaking ability, and strong outside shot for a big allowed the Stars to have the best defensive rating in the G-League and be considered one of the top teams in that league. Now Juwan Morgan will be stepping into the limelight way earlier than any of us anticipated. Here’s Morgan’s PER36 since entering the bubble.

Juwan Morgan

10.1 points, 66.7% FG, 66.7% 3PT, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.6 blocks, 1.8 turnovers

The Jazz’s starting lineup for today has never played a second together in a game. Practices? Maybe. Games? Not a single one. Buckle up. We’re in uncharted territory now.
