It’s official, Mike Conley will be back with the Utah Jazz for their Game 3 matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

After the Jazz got the blowout win against the Nuggets, Denver will definitely be making adjustments to try and stop the Jazz from getting everything they want on offense. Having Mike Conley back will make it even more difficult for them.

What to watch for

How does Quin Snyder adjust the rotation?

Having Mike Conley will unquestionably help the Jazz, but there were some things the Jazz discovered with him out that they should try to still use if they can.

The biggest upgrade will be with the bench. Mike Conley will take on the minutes of Emmanuel Mudiay which will immediately make the bench stronger. With shorter playoff rotations, Utah’s bench should be solid. Conley will also draw attention away from Jordan Clarkson who is already having a great series.

The interesting adjustment will be how the Jazz use Juwan Morgan who has been an important part of the rotation.. This is a sentence I didn’t know I’d be writing two weeks ago.

Morgan stepped into the starting lineup and played great defense, even allowing Quin Snyder to put him on Nikola Jokic at times.

Utah’s starting lineup during the bubble was fantastic, and they will most likely go back to it in Game 3, but Morgan showed that he needs to be on the floor more. The obvious change would be putting Morgan in at backup center. Having Morgan play backup center would spread the floor even more for Clarkson and could likely be even better defensively. Morgan has been Derrick Favors lite in a lot of situations making smart plays and getting important rebounds. Hopefully Quin Snyder takes advantage of what Juwan Morgan has shown he can do.
