The Utah Jazz will advance to the second round after a decisive win in Game 5 over the Memphis Grizzlies, 126-110. It was over as soon as it started with the Jazz scoring almost at will. Donovan Mitchell was on a mission to start the game scoring over Dillon Brooks at will. For the game Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points with 10 assists shooting 11/16 from the field and 5/8 from three.
Rudy Gobert was also dominant. Gobert had 23 points with 15 boards on 10/13 from the field. The combination of Gobert and Mitchell was completely dominant in this series. Whether it was the defensive end of the floor with Gobert patrolling the paint or on offense where Donovan Mitchell got to the rim at will, the Grizzlies had no answer.
Besides winning series, the story of this game will be Mike Conley not returning after halftime because of a sore hamstring. Conley spoke with media after the game about what happened.
Mike Conley said he felt "a tug" in his hamstring at the end of the first quarter. It kept getting sorer and sorer as he played on it. With how the game was going, the team came to the decision to sit him out the rest of the game.

Whatever the severity of the injury, the Jazz need Conley at full strength for future series. Conley in this series has shot the lights out from three averagine around 20 points per game with 10 assists. The Jazz will obviously put Conley on ice and work to get him right for the next series.
Utah reminded everyone in this series just how good they are. 5 players scored in double figures and the team shot 38% from three. At no point in this game was there any question who would win this game. When you compare the mentality of the Jazz in Game 1 to what they did tonight, it’s a completely different team. It’s a great sign for their next series if they can keep not only this level of play up, but also this mindset. There is goin to be tribulation in these next rounds, can the Jazz overcome it? If this series is any indication, they definitely can.
