Can the Utah Jazz stay undefeated in Las Vegas?

After a double-overtime thriller on Wednesday, the Utah Jazz will take on the Miami Heat in hopes to stay undefeated.

Trent Forrest hit the game-winning free throw on Wednesday and the Jazz will need his excellent play to continue their winning ways. Paired with Udoka Azubuike, the duo has been dominating opposing summer league opponents.

Forrest, Dok, and Jarrell Brantley have proven themselves to be NBA rotation players this summer league. In their last game against the Dallas Mavericks, that trio was a +10 in a double-overtime game. Forrest put up 16 points and 9 assists while Dok put up 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 blocks. As good as Forrest has looked managing the offense, Dok has looked just as good dominating in the paint. His size is impressive and he moves really well for someone that big. He continues to show a soft touch around the basket with great hands. It’s obviously summer league, and this could just be his size being too much of an advantage, but it’s getting hard to not see Dok doing these things against NBA rotation players.

Back from concussion protocols, Elijah Hughes returned to hit a game-tying three to send the Jazz to overtime. His shooting this summer league has been a little underwhelming but he’s shown some nice flashes. The hope for Hughes is that he can continue to show what he does well on the offensive end, defend and get more consistent on both ends. The tools and talent are there. It would be nice to see Hughes have a breakout game in one of these and really show what he can do.
