It’s the final day of Salt Lake City Summer League for the Utah Jazz. We’ve seen great performances from Trent Forrest, Udoka Azubuike and some positive signs from Elijah Hughes and Jarrell Brantley.
With one final game, this is a chance for everyone on the Jazz’s summer league rosters to prove their value and work towards a chance at roster spots and play time next season.
Jared Butler has missed all the games in Salt Lake City, but it’s we won’t be seeing him in Las Vegas Summer League either.
Justin Zanik indicates that Jared Butler is unlikely to play in Vegas summer league.

It appears it is precautionary.
Zanik on Butler: "Jared's on a full workout regimen, basically in a return to play protocol for being off in the offseason. I kind of feel like if Vegas was 10 days later, he'd play. He hasn't had contact in a while... there's no need to have his 1st contact in competitive gms."

This may be the case but Andy Larsen made a good point in mentioning that this could also be related to the contract that needs to be signed.
Left unmentioned but also probably playing a role: Butler hasn't signed a contract yet with the Jazz. He can either be signed to a 1-year minimum contract or a 2-year minimum contract, with any level of guaranteed money.

We will see how quickly that gets signed and when Jazz fans get a chance to see Jared Butler in action.
