Game 39 Preview: Utah Jazz face off against the defending champions Denver Nuggets

Can the Utah Jazz keep up their new-found winning ways?

The Utah Jazz go head to head against the reigning champions tonight in Salt Lake City on national TV. The Denver Nuggets come into this game 3rd in the Western Conference and are 8-2 in their last 10. The Jazz have fared extremely well of late, also winners of 8 of their last 10 games.

This game ends what was arguably the worst 4-game stretch in the entire schedule for the Jazz. In fact, it probably would’ve been the most difficult 4-game stretch for anyone across the entire NBA had everyone been healthy:

I truly assumed this would be an 0-4 experience for the Jazz. Instead, they sit at 2-1 after wins against Philadelphia and Milwaukee. After getting blown out against the Celtics and beating two shorthanded teams, maybe tonight will be a good barometer for where the Jazz are at in 2024.

Historical Jazz-Nuggets Highlights

Andrei Kirilenko does what only Andrei Kirilenko could do, posting a stat line of 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assist, 5 blocks, and 4 steals leading the Jazz to a 4-0 start in the 2004-2005 season. I miss watching that man play basketball. I also miss hearing Hot Rod call the games.
