NBA Preseason 2012-2013, Game 6:
Los Angeles Clippers 91 - Utah Jazz 99
Jazz subs play as a unit, make waters choppy for LAC
Well, this was a fun game, wasn't it? The Clippers had 30+ min nights for Chris Paul (36), DeAndre Jordan (32), Jamal Crawford (34), and Matt Barnes (32) -- and still lose. They were without Blake Griffin, Caron Butler, Willie Green, Lamar Odom, and Grant Hill. That's a talented group for sure, but it's not like they weren't playing two of their regular starters, and two of their better (near starters) a lot of minutes.
Del Negro waved the white flag with 2 minutes left in the game. Who played for the Jazz during the 4th quarter? Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors, DeMarre Carroll, Alec Burks, Randy Foye, and Mo Williams. And none of the Jazz players played more than 30 aside from Mo (31, 5 less than CP3). Good balance for both teams, but the Jazz won the day. Marvin Williams had 18/8/4/1, Gordon Hayward had 13/4/2/1 with 8 FTA. And our hustle team hustled.
Al Jefferson had 10 and 5, off of 5/12 shooting. This pace does not suit him well, and the other guys need to help him out more by getting him the ball in scoring position. It happened a few times, and it looked great. We need more.
Lastly, Darnell Jackson is awesome.
