The NBA released it’s slate of nationally televised games during Opening Week, and the Utah Jazz have found themselves in the spotlight once again. Just one day after finding out the Jazz would be featured in a Christmas Day game, the NBA announced that Utah will host the defending champion Golden State Warriors on ESPN on Friday, October 19th in Salt Lake City. The game will be the second part of an ESPN doubleheader, following Raptors vs Celtics.
It’s an exciting announcement that should get Jazz fans pumped up for the regular season. With all of they hype surrounding the Jazz this off-season, what better way to start off the year than going toe-to-toe against the defending champs? It’s obviously a pretty tough match-up, but the Jazz have won their last three meetings with Golden State by a large margin.
We now have a date that we can look forward to in starting the regular season for the Jazz, which is October 19th. That’s 72 days for whoever is counting.
