According to Tony Jones of The Athletic, the Utah Jazz are among several teams that have shown interest in unrestricted free agent Thaddeus Young.

Thad Young is coming off the final year of his four-year, $54 Million contract that he signed back in 2015. Young has had a very solid seven-year career, averaging just under 14 points per game along with 6 rebounds per game. He started and played in all but one game last season for the Indiana Pacers and was a “glue guy” that held the team together despite some adversity, including losing Victor Oladipo for the season.

As mentioned by Jones, the Jazz have not set any meeting yet as they work through their future with current Jazzman Derrick Favors. Young’s solid play and capable defense would be a nice fit on the Jazz if they do indeed part ways with Faves.

The NBA Free Agency window opens up Sunday at 4:00 PM MST, and we can expect all sorts of madness to commence at that time.
