Jazz trade Ed Davis and draft picks to New York Knicks

Jazz clearing up cap space for Clarkson, Mitchell, Gobert.

NBA: Utah Jazz at Atlanta Hawks Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Jazz made another move that show they are planning to try and re-sign Jordan Clarkson, this time in the form of sending Ed Davis and two future draft picks to the New York Knicks.

The Jazz did not have hardly any wiggle room at all on the roster this upcoming season, and this helps free some of that to try and keep Clarkson around, as well as being able to extend Mitchell (already agreed) and Gobert later on.

We’re seeing the Walt Perrin connection in New York already, with the draft pick swap last night, and this trade news today. It’s only a matter of time before the Jazz send Donovan Mitchell to the big apple. (so so so so kidding omg can you even imagine).
