The Jazz did not play on Christmas last year but it looks like coming out of the Western Conference with the best record in the league earns you a spot. This is good news for Jazz fans but also for basketball fans in general as it appears the NBA is allowing its best teams to play which creates a better product. Hopefully this is a trend that is part of the NBA schedule that puts more good matchups on national tv rather than simply the large markets.
For Jazz fans, this will be the first time they get to watch the Jazz on Christmas since the 2018-19 season when they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 117-96. This will also be in Salt Lake City so it means Jazz fans can wake up, open their gifts from Santa, then head over to the Arena and watch the Jazz take on the Dallas Mavericks. It makes for a perfect Christmas, if you ask me.
