All-Star Saturday Night Preview

keep a brave face, Jazz fans

NBA: All Star-Rising Stars Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

In what has got to be one of the emptiest All-Star weekends in recent memory for Jazz fans, there should at least be some interesting competition amongst the only teams the national media pays attention to some of the more interesting players in the league.

Starting off the night Jazz fans can reignite the pain in their heart from trade deadline as they watch Mike Conley compete in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

All Star Saturday Night Info

When: Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 • 6:00 PM MT

Where: Spectrum Center • Charlotte, NC

TV: TNT

Everyone would have loved to see Joe Ingles dominate these mere mortals in these competitions, but it’s obvious that it’s much more important for Ingles to spend time with his family. Take care, Joe!

Taco Bell Skills Challenge

Contestants: Mike Conley, Luka Doncic, De’Aaron Fox, Nikola Jokic, Kyle Kuzma, Jayson Tatum, Nikola Vucevic, Trae Young.

The second event of the night will be the 3-point contest and there are some interesting storylines. Probably most interesting is to see Steph Curry and Seth Curry face off.

It will be interesting to see if Devin Booker can repeat as winner.

3-Point Contest

Contestants: Devin Booker, Seth Curry, Stephen Curry, Danny Green, Joe Harris, Buddy Hield, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, Dirk Nowitzki, Kemba Walker.

To cap off the night will be the Donovan Mitchell-less slam dunk competition. Mitchell is wanting to focus on rest during the break to get ready for the Jazz’s upcoming playoff run.

It would be great to see the Spida compete for the repeat, but I, personally, would much rather see a rested, and healthy, Mitchell to end the year.

AT&T Slam Dunk Contest

Contestants: Miles Bridges, John Collins, Hamidou Diallo, Dennis Smith Jr.
