Donovan Mitchell falls just shy of Rookie of the Year

Ben Simmons is your 2017-2018 Rookie of the Year. Ben Simmons averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and no threes a game in his second season—but first healthy one—in the NBA.

Donovan Mitchell averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.4 threes a game. He helped lead the Utah Jazz to a playoff birth along with Rudy Gobert’s stout defense. At least Donovan is looking good.
