Donovan Mitchell had an amazing week last week ... and it just got better. The NBA has selected Donovan Mitchell for the last week’s Western Conference Player of the Week. The honor is Donovan Mitchell’s first of his career. Last week Donovan Mitchell averaged 31.5 points on shooting splits of 48/48/77, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. The Spida looks like he’s ready to join the Spider-verse and the NBA’s elite this season.
Donovan Mitchell did all this while filling in for Ricky Rubio, Dante Exum, and Raul Neto at point guard. The man is a superhero.
Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the first time of his career.

It had appeared a couple weeks ago that Donovan Mitchell was turning the corner this season and our very own Andy Bailey wrote about that here. The season is looking up, y’all.
