With the fifth pick of the 2015 NBA Draft . . . the Orlando Magic select Justise Winslow from Duke University. I am not confident in the leadership of the Orlando Magic franchise, and I really don't trust their scouting department (seriously, Aaron Gordon at #4?) - but looking at who is on the board this guy is most likely Going Top 5, even with the Magic's poor drafting performance last season. Winslow is the first wing taken in the draft and a more known product over a European import. Orlando is in their development / teaching years like the Utah Jazz, and as a result, I don't think they are in a rush to add people to compete against the possible playing time available for their guards Victor Oladipo, Elfrid Payton, and Evan Fournier. I can easily see them say goodbye to Ben Gordon and Luke Ridnour (from their books) and not look back with the three guys I just mentioned. Nikola Vucevic is essentially Enes Kanter without the delusions of grandeur, but it's not out of the question for them to look at upgrading their front line. But again, I think they want to give it a go with Aaron Gordon and Andrew Nicholson at some stage. The only hole, and this isn't me just drafting for fit but also talent, is at SF. Tobias Harris is going to get paid this off-season. If he does leave there's a huge hole there because Maurice Harkless and Roy Devyn Marble are both heading towards free agency. Winslow, is an athlete and defender, something every lotto team needs. I don't know how great he can be, but at least in the short term he gives a great changeup from what Harris brings as a starter; and at worst, he could be a starter with this young core and bring his championship pedigree to a franchise looking to get back to being something other than a train wreck.
