The NBA Draft will be held on June 23rd, it will be live on ESPN and starts at 8 PM ET ish. The Utah Jazz are participating once again and have four picks, the #12, #42, #52, and the #60. It's clear that the team has needs and that the picks they have may be of limited utility. Of course, if the team is clever enough to leverage these picks with other assets, the front office can make some sweet music this off-season. I really think that the team is likely to trade down. After working out 91 players, and very few of them actually likely to be in the lottery, it seems like the writing is on the wall.
Utah has done well with late 1st round picks -- Rodney Hood and Rudy Gobert are shining examples of that. The Dennis Lindsey regime in Utah scouts very well, and rarely makes a mistake on draft night. I expect the team's good fortunes to continue in three days.
As for now, let's get to the NBA Draft information that we all crave and need.
