Tonight we will see the NBA Draft Lottery be resolved in a way that’s going to help big market teams (Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers), or actually help smaller market ones (Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, Minnesota Timberwolves). I think we all know what’s at stake here - specifically LAL losing their pick. here’s the break down, via Tankathon.com :
As we know, the Brooklyn Nets don’t own their pick, the Boston Celtics do. The New Orleans Pelicans do not own their pick either, that goes to the Sacramento Kings.
And, the biggie, if the Lakers drop out of the Top 3 then that pick goes to the Philadelphia 76ers. That’s what we’re going for.
Outside of the lotto we have our Utah Jazz currently scheduled to pick at #24, #30, #42, and #55. Personally? I think the Jazz are going to be moving some of these if not all of them.
So, in closing, eff the Lakers.
