Utah Jazz 2017 Mock Draft Round-Up #2

Yes, we’re still covering the NBA Draft

Another round in the books, another quick peek at the NBA Draft. We did a Round-Up part one back on April 14th (check it here if you missed it), and it looked like a bunch of people felt like we were destined to somehow pick up Anžejs Pasečņiks (C from Latvia). This time around it didn’t roll out that way. I must say that I looked at fewer sources this time, only Draft Express, Bleacher Report, SB Nation, HoopsHype, Thankathon, CBS Sports, ESPN, and NBADraft.net. All in all there were 10 mocks used (no big boards yet), and here are the results.

I have to say that there’s a good group of difficult names on these lists so I’m a fan: Mushidi, Anigbogu, Kurucs, Ojeleye, Iwundu, Adebayo, uh . . . Bacon? Hmmm. Bacon.

Really though, I don’t know what these guys are going to turn out to be in the NBA. I do know that the Jazz may need to fill some holes on the cheap because of the situation at hand vis-a-vis needing to potentially pay a bunch of guys this off-season (Gordon Hayward, George Hill, Joe Ingles, etc). Jeff Withey may be out, and a first round pick is guaranteed money. Getting a banger bigman on a rookie contract may not be that bad of an idea. Of course, there are already two of them on the team who can’t get any minutes already in Trey Lyles and Joel Bolomboy. Of course, neither of them are 7’ tall.
