The 2017 NBA Draft is nigh! Or near! Or more precisely, now! We’ve seen a few of these under the Dennis Lindsey era of the Utah Jazz. In 2013 the team made a number of trades, finishing the night with a few rookies (Trey Burke, Rudy Gobert, and Raul Neto in order) but none of them were selected with a Jazz draft pick. In 2014 Utah had a Top 5 pick, and a bunch of other ones, but mostly stood pat (and came back to the 801 with Dante Exum and Rodney Hood). The next season saw another lotto pick come Lindsey’s way, where he didn’t move it (Trey Lyles); while last season he did (bye bye Taurean Prince) in a post-season / pre-draft trade that would see starting point guard George Hill join the fun.
So what can we expect for tonight? Trades? Vets? Rookies? Draft and stashes?
Whatever is in store for us, we can:
- watch it all on TV (ESPN in North America, starting at 5:00 PM MT);
- online (NBA.com, and streaming at WatchESPN and their WatchESPN mobile app);
- and follow along on social media (SLC Dunk has a Twitter page here and a Facebook page here!)
Also, there’s going to be a LOOO-OOOT of content at the site (what you are reading right now) over the next 48 hours about the draft, the team, the players, and more!
Please mind our mess as we - and the Utah Jazz - figure things out in this hectic off-season.
