After picking Udoka Azubuike, Utah moved quickly and traded Tony Bradley to the Detroit Pistons.
The Utah Jazz have agreed to trade C Tony Bradley and the 38th pick to the Detroit Pistons for future considerations, sources tell ESPN.

Azubuike looks like an immediate upgrade over Bradley and should fill a big hole for Utah with an immediate defensive upgrade at backup center.
Here’s the thing, I don’t even know what future considerations are but this definitely feels like a roster move to get some cash and move Tony Bradley to keep the roster to re-sign Jordan Clarkson.
The Jazz have honestly put a lot of trust in Azubuike to be an immediate impact player. If he’s not, they will have passed on some good players in the draft and will have seen a three-year project go out the door for not much. But Utah has done well with their scouting before so this all may work out very well.
I would also like to say that Tony Bradley has always been a really good member of the Jazz in terms of attitude and work ethic. It’s too bad it didn’t work out, but I’ll always root for a guy who has given everything he had to try to improve.
