The Utah Jazz did not reach an agreement with Gordon Hayward . This resulted in Hayward going on the market as a restricted free agent (per the offer the Jazz made). Gordon is in that period of his life as a player where it's in his best interest to test the market. And he is doing so. Many teams are interested in him besides the Jazz, there's the Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, and a handful of others after that. Who wouldn't want a 16 / 5 / 5 / 1 guy? The Cleveland Cavaliers want him, and Gordon is in Cleveland right now. (The Cleveland / Gordon thing was written about in greater detail here, yesterday.)
Yahoo! Sports genius / deity Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted this:
Utah RFA Gordon Hayward is meeting with Cavaliers officials in Cleveland today, sources tell Yahoo. Offer sheet could be forthcoming.

The Utah Jazz radio play by play announcer David Locke added this:
Report from @wojyahoonba that Gordon Hayward is in Cleveland today. Jazz were aware

I do not think this is a big deal. You test the market and fine your market value by actually talking to other teams and being offered a contract. It doesn't mean he's really going to Cleveland. After all, years ago Elton Brand and Corey Maggette weren't really going to Utah.
Fans should not be alarmed, as super amazing and talented beat writer Jody Genessy had this to calm the masses a little:
Keep in mind, Jazz are expecting Gordon Hayward to receive significant offers and plan to match.

Yes, it's only July 2nd. We have a full month of this. Keep calm Jazz fans. And carry on.
