The Utah Jazz and Joe Ingles are close to making the obvious move for both parties. It's not a marriage of convenience, it's a marriage of necessity at this point. Ingles is the heart of this team with his vocal leadership, and ability to keep all of the young kids on the same page. He keeps the team loose, and is able to help keep them together when times are tough. He's like the cool older brother who comes home from college and just bums around home and makes sure there's always pizza in the fridge. Or something. On the basketball court Ingles can handle the ball, hit the three, and pass like crazy. He's a perfect fit for what this team needs from their wings. I'm glad to have him back.

I am certain that many of our fans will be too!
Joe had this to add:
Absolutely pumped to be back with the @utahjazz for another 2 years! Lots of exciting times ahead… https://t.co/BtLa9AEBsw

As it stands right now the Jazz wing rotation goes as follows:
- Starters: Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks
- Bench: Rodney Hood, Joe Ingles
- Non-Guaranteed Contracts: Elijah Millsap, Chris Johnson
- Point guards who could bump over: Dante Exum, Olivier Hanlan (2nd round draft pick, no contract)
That's not bad. It's not Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in their primes, but it's a lot better than it used to be in Utah. Ingles helps our team be better on and off the court. He is a no-brainer signing.
