While the Utah Jazz’s signing of Bojan Bogdanovic probably means that Derrick Favors is headed toward free agency, it appears Derrick Favors and his agent are working with Utah to see what the next step could look like.
Derrick Favors and his agent are currently speaking back and forth with the Utah Jazz about what’s next following the deal to sign Bojan Bogdanovic.

I currently don’t see how Utah could keep Derrick Favors without parting with Joe Ingles or Dante Exum—or both—in a sign and trade with the Indiana Pacers or if Indiana would even be motivated to make such a deal with their glut of big men in Indiana—Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis, and T.J. Warren. But Utah clearly would love to have their cake and eat it too. The question remaining is does an option remain on the table to prevent the inevitable loss of Derrick Favors? Unless Indiana wants to play ball, it’s looking very unlikely.
