The Utah Jazz are going to look a lot different next year with all the recent additions of Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Ed Davis, and Emmanuel Mudiay. With all those additions, there had to be some subtractions. Derrick Favors, Ricky Rubio, Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, Thabo Sefolosha, Ekpe Udoh, Grayson Allen, and Raul Neto all will find themselves in new places next season. They will not be forgotten. Gail Miller took out a full page ad today in the Salt Lake Tribune thanking them for their service.

Mike Menssen caught the ad and posted it to twitter. It reads:

Derrick, for nearly 10 years you’ve represented our team in the best possible ways.

Your hard work and class, both on the court and in the community, continually set a high standard. You elevated your teammates—and the rest of us—along the way, and we can never thank you enough.

And to Ricky, Jae, Kyle, Raul, Ekpe, Thabo and Grayson, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all you’ve accomplished. You’ve played key roles in helping our team reach the playoffs, and you’ve spent countless hours enriching people’s lives in our community.

My family and the Jazz organization are sincerely grateful for everything you’ve done for the Utah Jazz, and I wish you the best of luck as you move forward with your new teams.

Gail Miller

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

We’re going to miss all of these amazing men who together formed a very special Utah Jazz team. We have to remember that even if Utah is better next season, it’ll be a result of the unique team culture that these players helped build in Utah. They will be missed.

Once a Jazzman, Always a Jazzman.
