Derrick Favors is back!
According to Tony Jones the Utah Jazz and Derrick Favors have agreed to 3-year $27M

Of all the problems from last season, it was clear that Utah missed Derrick Favors in their lineup. Having Favors play the PF/C role helped Utah’s defensive identity and shored up the bench units at center.
That Favors-sized hole on the bench unit has now been re-filled.
Favors spent one season with the Pelicans and averaged 24 MPG, 9 PTS, 9.8 RBDs, 1.6 ASSTS while shooting 61.7% from the field.
Even though he put up efficient numbers with the Pelicans it felt like he wasn’t utilized in the best way by Alvin Gentry. In Utah that won’t be the case because the Jazz will surely be putting Favors back into pick and rolls with Joe Ingles and torching opposing 2nd units. It will also shore up the second unit defense that was such a problem last season.
After drafting Udoka Azubuike it’s clear the the Jazz, if they are able to sign Rudy Gobert, will have one of the strongest center rotations in the league.
