The Utah Jazz start their 2016-2017 season tonight. Yes, the team isn’t at full strength (Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks are surely out, Derrick Favors’ status is to be determined still) — but it’s still a really great team. Honestly, it’s a better team, a more fun team, and a much easier team to root for than some of the previous offerings during the previous regime. That is a subjective commentary that you may not care for, but I stand by it. Something we all can agree on is how objectively awesome this day is. The Utah Jazz players know. It’s like the First Day of School for them.
